How to Add a Bus Charter Service to the Pre-approved List of Bus Charter Services

Summary: Follow the steps on this page to add a new bus charter service to the pre-approved list.

What to do:
How to do it:
1 Provide application to the interested bus charter service.

Provide a UCSC Bus Charter Services Application Packet which includes an informational letter, insurance requirements, and an application form.

Bus charter services are required to submit:

  • the UCSC Bus Charter two-page application form
  • a current PUC Certificate
  • a current and correct certificate of insurance with specific amounts of general liability insurance (be sure to have your agent name the UC Regents as additional insured)

What Purchasing does: How to do it:
1 Adds bus charter service to pre-approved list.
  • Receives and reviews required documentation from the new service.
  • Obtains approval from the Director of Purchasing.
  • Adds bus charter service to the list of approved services.

A PO for unapproved charter services must be sent to Purchasing a minimum of 4 weeks before the event, as described in UC Business and Finance Bulletin BUS-63, Insurance Requirements/Certificates of Insurance.
