CruzBuy 9.3 Enhancement – November 09, 2009

Summary: CruzBuy 9.3 offers improved search capabilities and organizes email preferences into categories. Orders placed by a shopper within the past 90 days are now shown in Notifications.

Search Enhancements

Supplier Search functions the same way independently of whether the user accesses the search from Browse by Supplier, the History tab, or Forms in CruzBuy 9.3.

1. Supplier Search now uses the "contains" concept instead of "starts with". Shoppers can search for the beginning of any word appearing anywhere in the supplier name. For example, when searching for Ace Glass a shopper will receive effective results by entering "Ace" or "glass", but not "lass".

2. Shoppers can search by Banner Vendor ID (be sure to include leading zeros) or by an alias (coming soon).

3. Search uses an as-you-type auto-complete feature on all forms.

Please note the PR History and PO History screens use a "Begins With..." search, until the "Select Supplier" button is pressed. At that point, the search changes to "contains".

Press "select" on this screen, and you will be returned to your original PR History or PO History screen.

Email Preference Categories

Email profile settings are organized into categories.

• Email preferences in the Shopping, Carts, and Requisitions category apply prior to the creation of a PO by the system. These messages typically contain messages relating to an action by a person.
• Email preferences in the Purchase Orders category apply after a PO has been created and are related to system functions. See: How to Request Email Notifications in CruzBuy for information about setting email preferences.

Change to Notifications

The system displays a list of a user's previous requisitions or purchase orders when the my requisitions or my purchase orders tab is selected. That list now shows requisitions placed in the previous 90 days.
