How to Buy from Amazon.com Summary: This page explains how to place orders with Amazon.com. Shoppers may place orders with Amazon.com using the Amazon punchout in CruzBuy. See How to Use Punchouts in CruzBuy. All items shipped by and sold from Amazon.com will ship for free when shoppers use the punchout.
Shoppers must pay shipping for items that are sold through Amazon but ship from third-party suppliers (examples: Grizzly, J&R Music, Computer World or Wirefly). Pro-cardShoppers may use a pro-card (instead of the punchout) to place orders with Amazon.com but shipping costs are added to orders placed on the Amazon website and paid with a pro-card. The shipping charges will be displayed on the amazon.com website. Interim Process for Orders that Generate an "Invalid Payment" Email NotificationA small number of orders may get canceled by Amazon due to an invoicing issue. If you receive an "invalid payment" email from Amazon (identified by "Important Notice: Your Amazon Order # " in the subject line) and would like to place your order with another supplier, please contact Bruce Main via email at brucem@ucsc.edu within 24 hours after you receive the notification and he will cancel the order. Otherwise, Bruce will automatically re-place the order with Amazon. Last revised: July 29, 2008 (am)
