The HP Printing Supplies link in the left navigation bar opens a new window for product selection. However, a user is sometimes not successfully returned to the punchout using this path. Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari each behave differently when is clicked.

• Firefox displays a cart with the items in the pop-up window. Close the pop-up window, and click the Shopping Cart View button in the Punch-out session.
• Internet Explorer closes the pop-up and replaces it with a bigger pop-up. Close this new pop-up, and click Shopping Cart View button in the primary punch-out window.
• The HP Printing Supplies link does not work with Safari. To purchase HP items use the Browse Catalog or the Search Now" function.

Note: The primary window to keep open is the one with the button in the upper-right corner. Once the order is submitted the punch-out windows will close.

Palace's system is designed to give UCSC the lower price between our standard UCSC price and an advertised price. The punch-out often has an advertisement for "Today's Specials" which are valid for about a month, so the price will typically be honored even though the requisition is not submitted and approved immediately.

The "Browse Catalog" search will accept a partial SKU, manufacturer's number, or description. It is even possible to insert combinations; e.g. a catalog number and part of a description. Hyphens are ignored.
