Setup: How to Change your Password or Reset a Forgotten Password

Summary: Learn how to change your password, and how to set up a prompt question to use if you forget your password.

Change your Password

1. Click on the My Profile navigation tab located on the top right side of the page.
2. Click on the Change Password box on the upper right side of the page.

3. A new window will appear, prompting you to enter your old password once and your new password twice. Your password must be 8 alphanumeric characters.
4. Click Close.

Note: You can enter a trigger question and answer at the bottom of the page. This prompt is extremely helpful because it enables you to change your password via e-mail.

Forgot Your Password?

If you have filled in your profile trigger question in CruzBuy, follow these steps to reset your password:

1. Log on to https://solutions.sciquest.com/CruzBuy
2. Enter user name.
3. Click on Forgot your Password?
4. Enter user name and e-mail in the space provided.
5. Click Submit.
6. Email will be sent to the e-mail address stored in your user profile.
7. Check inbox of the e-mail address provided for instructions on how to change your password.
8. When you have received the e-mail:
   1. Click on the link provided.
   2. The screen shows the trigger question stored in your profile, used to prompt users.
   3. Answer prompt question.
   4. Enter new password.
   5. Confirm password.
   6. Click reset
   Password will reset if you answered the profile question correctly.

If CruzBuy does not recognize your response, or if you you did not enter a security question, please send an e-mail to fis_probs@ucsc.edu to request a new password.
