How to Buy from Dell Using the CruzBuy Punchout System

Summary: Learn how to use the CruzBuy system to place orders for Dell products.

The Dell punchout allows shoppers to do the following:

• Bypass the requirement for Dell e-quotes from premier.dell.com
• View and use UC established pricing
• Configure a machine to exact specifications
• Import their cart to CruzBuy, eliminating the need to list each item in the system

There are currently a few limitations with the punchout. Purchasing Staff are working with Dell to resolve these issues.

• Some browsers exhibit unpredictable behavior when clicking edit for ship-to methods. (See Step 5 for workaround.) Internet Explorer 6 is the recommended browser. Firefox and IE 7 are otherwise functional.
• The punchout will sometimes be unpredictably slow to load. If the punchout is taking a while, click Cancel Punchout, wait a few seconds, and try again.
• The punchout has a timeout period of 15 minutes. You may stay logged on as long as needed, but please don't leave the punchout idle for more than a few minutes. Your work will not be recoverable if the punchout times out. Your cart is saved once you complete the checkout process on the Punchout and are returned to CruzBuy.
