The Invitrogen punchout can be utilized to purchase most items sold by Invitrogen. While the Invitrogen punchout is a very functional tool, you may experience some usability quirks. Please read this page prior to using the Invitrogen Punchout to ensure a smooth punchout experience.

1. It is not advisable to have a second browser (or tab) on www.invitrogen.com while you are shopping in the punchout. Your browser may not be able to distinguish between punchout and non-punchout Invitrogen sessions, which will cause problems checking out from both sessions.
2. Do not add more than 30 items per punchout session. More than 30 items may cause server time-outs causing your Punchout session to close without transferring your cart to CruzBuy.

3. If you are adding a large number of items to your cart, the "Add to Cart Notification" may not disappear in a timely manner. It is okay to close this box if it takes more than 10 seconds. Your item will still be added to your cart. Confirm by clicking View Cart link.
   

Note the red "X" in the upper left corner of the notification. You may use the "X" to avoid being directed to your cart, or a checkout screen.

4. If you view a page that looks nothing like the punchout, but still includes the punchout Frame, you can return to the Invitrogen catalog by using the "back" button. Anything on this page will appear in a new browser. This is most likely to happen when you are browsing through the corporate section of the punchout.

5. Occasionally, an item will cause a pop-up window to appear. Once your item is added, this window should be closed. Click "View Cart" in the original window to verify cart contents. Your most recently added item should be included in the item summary.
   

6. Occasionally, our standard "Cancel Punchout" button will disappear from the top. If this happens, you may still cancel your punchout session and return to CruzBuy using the "Close Session" button on the left of the screen.

7. Upon exiting the punchout and returning to CruzBuy, you may see a window warning you about sending information over an unencrypted connection. Click Continue to return to CruzBuy.
